I am writing in evaluation of and support for Mr. Joseph Manoj for future employment with your institution. In my role as Head of Secondary School at East-West International School, I have had the opportunity to observe Mr. Manoj’s pedagogy and experience--both inside and outside of the classroom--in his role as an A Level Math teacher and as the school’s Head of Mathematics Department. I have found Mr. Manoj to be an industrious colleague and very capable teacher. He is passionate about education and getting his students to excel on high stakes math exams. He voluntarily chose to teach an additional course, Further Maths, to two students who asked him about the feasibility of doing so. This was done on top of his full timetable. Moreover, when a student who was not enrolled in a Math course needed to sit for A Level Math exams due to missing the exams the previous year, Joseph took it upon himself to set the past papers and mark a number of exam papers for this learner, who was not even enrolled in his current classes. He demonstrated sound rapport with students and I was impressed with his subject content knowledge and flexibility. He has always maintained a positive attitude around students and staff members.
